Boxy and Traiq are two low level criminals who are going to get a cricket bat shoved up their asses if they don’t find the money their partner Frank stole from their boss. Problem is Frank drowned while being interrogated and dead men tell no tales. Alice is psychic medium who helps investigators find the bodies of two missing children. This miraculous event lands Alice a spot on the evening news. Thus, the plan is hatched, Traiq and Boxy will use Alice’s ability to contact Frank and find the money. Sounds simple enough, but they soon realize that one should be very careful will playing with the dead.
Polterheist is a very well-produced Horror/Comedy that is a fun watch. The acting is fantastic, the characters are hilarious, and the action is realistic. Director David Gilbank did an amazing job with this film and I am surprised it took me this long to hear about it. This genre mashup is great for crime movie fans and horror fans alike. I would love to see more genre mashups like this in the future. Maybe a romantic comedy mashed up with hard R action flick, or a Lifetime original drugsploitation film.
